Course Memo

(45 contact hours.) This course introduces the principles of pharmacology, drug classifications, and the effects of selected medications on the human body. The nursing process is used as the framework for ensuring safe and effective nursing care for clients across the lifespan. For a lecture class, one credit is considered to be one hour of lecture class time and two hours per week of work outside of class. For the typical three credit hour class, a student spends three hours per week in class and should expect to complete at least six hours per week of work outside of class. Note: A student must have a 2.0 overall GPA and a minimum of 2.0 GPA in departmental core courses of a program to graduate. A grade of ā€œCā€ or higher is required to pass this course
