Course Memo

This course meets requirements for becoming a CMA in the state of Kansas and includes instruction in roles and responsibilities, how to prepare, administer, and record medications, major actions and side effects, common medical abbreviations, how drugs affect the different systems of the body, mathematics, weights and measures. Prerequisite(s): Nurse Aide Certification, Compass Math, Reading & Writing Tests which are scheduled with Shonell Edwards in Learning Resources: 785-309-3136. The course includes 25 hours of clinical practice.
