Leadership (BAT 184)

(08/23/2018-12/19/2018)

Course Memo

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the “nature” of leadership. Students will gain a broad understanding of the history and origins of leadership, theoretical approaches to leadership, and the essence of contemporary leadership. As students master the fundamentals of the concepts, they will be encouraged to test their ability to apply these concepts to their own life experiences. For a lecture class, one credit is considered to be one hour of lecture class time and two hours per week of work outside of class. For the typical three credit hour class, a student spends three hours per week in class and should expect to complete at least six hours per week of work outside of class.
